Cloud’ is a metaphor representing the many computer systems and network connections that make up the internet. ‘Cloud Software’ is simply software delivered as a service over the internet and accessed via a web browser from anywhere.
‘Cloud Computing’ then is the use of such software-in-the-cloud, sometimes called Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). Some examples are Gmail, Google Apps and the social networking services.
